Simon is a teller of tales, working primarily with fiction and the rituals of theatre. 


He trained on the Young Writer's Programme at the Royal Court under Simon Stephens’ tutorship.


His theatre credits include 'Blessed be the Immaculates' and

'The Water Lady'  (both at the Minerva, Chichester), 'Heads' (Young Vic studio) & 'Shakespeare's Happy Endings' (BBC Four).


His latest play was ‘tipping point’, which ran at Hamilton House, Stokes Croft, Bristol, the New Wimbledon Studio and the Uncivilisation 2010 festival.


He is a founder member of the gaia theatre collective.


He has published his first novel ‘black dog running’. It is available here from Simon’s website or from lulu.com, Libertalia books or amazon.

He is currently at work on a number of projects including his second novel,  ‘And We Washed Our Weapons in the Sea’  and on another play for gaia, ‘Bel, the Girl who would Dance’, as well as running writing courses and workshops at the community where he lives on the edge of the Ashdown Forest.
